CAOT Poverty and Occupational Therapy Network

The Poverty and Occupational Therapy Network is a group of CAOT members who are interested in exploring and understanding poverty and the effects and implications for occupational therapy practice. This network aims to:

  • Develop an online platform to share resources, tools and information related to poverty and occupational therapy

  • Develop formal alliances and partnerships with key stakeholders in poverty reduction work nationally

  • Share expertise and knowledge of network members through monthly meetings

  • Promote the inclusion of competencies related to income, poverty, and social determinants of health into occupational therapy curricula

  • Promote and support research in poverty reduction and occupational therapy
